Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Company (Meralco) assured its customers that the company’s crews and personnel are working non-stop to safely restore electricity service in areas affected by the enhanced southwest monsoon (Habagat). Seen in the photo are Meralco crews conducting power restoration works in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

“We thank our customers for their patience and their help in reporting outages in their areas, which allowed us to expedite restoration efforts. Rest assured that crews will not stop until service is fully restored up to the last affected customer as soon as possible,” Meralco Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications Joe R. Zaldarriaga said.
As of 8 AM today, August 11, customers affected by service interruptions have further gone down to the last 18,000—less than 1% of Meralco’s total customer base.
Most of the affected customers are still in parts of Cavite; while the rest are in Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Bulacan, Quezon, and Batangas.
Meralco continues to urge customers to practice electrical safety measures. To report power outages and other concerns, customers may reach Meralco through its official social media pages on Facebook (www.facebook.com/meralco) and X (@meralco). They may also text their concerns to 0920-9716211 and 0917-5516211 or contact the Meralco Hotline at 16211.
