CEBU CITY, Philippines — Globe delivered reliable mobile connectivity at the Cebu Grand Pride Parade 2026, helping thousands of participants, volunteers, and organizers stay connected throughout one of Cebu’s biggest celebrations of diversity, inclusion, and equality.
Held at Plaza Independencia and along Osmeña Boulevard, the parade gathered members of the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, government leaders, civic organizations, and volunteers under the theme “One Team. One Mission. One Cebu Pride.” and “Pagkahiusa sa Sugbo, Kadaugan sa Tanan!” As an event partner, Globe reinforced its already extensive network in Cebu by deploying a Cellsite on Wheels (COW) unit during the Cebu Grand Pride Parade, providing additional connectivity to support the surge in mobile traffic. The deployment helped ensure a seamless connectivity experience as attendees communicated with one another, accessed event updates, and shared their Pride experiences online.
The deployment complemented Globe’s extensive network across Cebu, supported by almost 100% coverage in Cebu City and 92% 5G coverage across the Metro Cebu Tri-City comprising Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Lapu-Lapu City. The Cebu Grand Pride Parade was organized through the collaboration of the Cebu Pride Movement, the Cebu Provincial Government, the Cebu City Government, and partner organizations.
