Cocolife, the biggest Filipino-owned stock life insurance company, formally marked a new chapter with the dedication and blessing of its new office at Spark Place, Cubao, Quezon City. The ceremony began with a ribbon-cutting led by Atty. Martin Loon, CEO and President of Cocolife and Ms. Cecil De Mesa, Agency Sales Director, De Mesa Agency, followed by a dedication and blessing conducted by Pastor Jam Capistrano.
Atty. Martin Loon emphasized the vital role of branches in carrying out the company’s mission and connecting Cocolife with its clients. “Branches are the reflection of what Cocolife does in carrying out the company’s mission and connecting Cocolife with its clients. I see the essence of Cocolife through our clients. The real heart and marrow of Cocolife are its branches,” he expressed in his remarks. Reflecting on his nearly 10 years with Cocolife, Atty. Martin shared how seeing clients continue to remind him of the company’s purpose and the importance of the work being done by its people. He also extended his gratitude to the De Mesa Agency.
Furthermore, Atty. Elmore Edward Ornelas, Chief Communications Officer, BCCD, shared his reflections on his first year with the agency, recalling that one of his first priorities was to connect with the organization’s experienced leaders and learn from their knowledge and experience. “Thank you so much for your support. I asked for help and you gave it to me. Now, I’m going to give it back. The company is not the company without you. I know how difficult your work can be, but you are changing lives little by little,” he stated, addressing his gratefulness to the Cubao agents.
Ms. Genesis Omnes, Metro Manila Area Head, also congratulated Team De Mesa on their performance and expressed appreciation for the new office, noting that the improved space would allow the team to carry out its work more effectively.
The dedication also served as an opportunity to recognize the collective efforts of the agency, Cocolife leadership, and the building administration in creating an environment conducive to the team’s continued growth.
“I am sure you will pass your wisdom on to those who come after you. I hope this branch becomes a vessel for passing on the mission of Cocolife to the next generation,” Atty. Martin shared.
“Now I understand why Cocolife has been around for almost 50 years, because you believe in the next generation,” Pastor Jam added.
The event concluded with the attendees gathering for a shared feast, celebrating not only the opening and blessing of the new office but also the achievements and milestones of Cocolife as it continues to grow.
