WeCap Financial Inc. (“WeCap”), a boutique securities brokerage and investment advisory firm, announces that it has officially commenced its trading activities at the Philippine Stock Exchange (“PSE”), effective February 14.
The company can be identified with its broker code of 358, and its short name is WCAP. WeCap is now the newest trading participant at the Philippine Stock Exchange.
The launch of a trading platform represents a successful culmination of WeCap’s four-year journey towards offering securities brokerage services. The journey started in October 2021, when the company acquired trading rights of the now-defunct BDO Nomura Securities Inc. from BDO Unibank.
In 2024, WeCap partnered with PSE subsidiary Premier Software Enterprise, Inc. for the latter to serve as an order management platform. Along the way, the Securities and Exchange Commission granted a Broker-Dealer in Securities license to WeCap, while the PSE granted approval to the company as a Trading Participant.
“Our trading platform represents a key product that we offer to our clients, and our long-term goal is to launch our mobile and online trading platform that will make trading of Philippine stocks more accessible to more Filipinos, which is an objective we share with the PSE,” Job Ambrosio, President of WeCap.
WeCap, which has its office in Makati, provides capital raising and advisory services in addition to its newly launched securities trading platform.
