The Baliuag University Alumni Association (BUAA) invites alumni to join and witness the First Legado Festival featuring a parade of floats and a motorcade of BU graduates from yesteryears. This event marks the first major BUAA engagement and activity aimed at building a strong BU community of stakeholders.
A main highlight of the centennial celebration is the BUAA Gala Night, which will be held on February 14, 2025. As BUAA President Richard G. Raymundo stated, the jubilarians of Baliuag Institute, Baliuag Junior College, Baliuag Colleges, and now Baliuag University will have a truly memorable night.
The BU Alumni Association (BUAA), led by its president, Mr. Richard G. Raymundo (rightmost), has gathered alumni who will showcase their talent through a “rigodon de honor” dance performance during the Gala Night on February 14, 2025.
The first lecture series lined up for the centennial year took place on January 28 at the BU Assembly Hall. As part of its community service program, a seminar titled “Turning Mandates into Action: Addressing Data Privacy Compliance in LGUs and Education Sector” was held to benefit local government units of Baliwag City, Bustos Municipality, and nearby towns, as well as students and personnel from private companies. Resource speakers were Mr. Hilarion C. Yanza II (MMPM Vice President for Internal Regulations, Organization of Data Privacy Professionals Inc.) and Mr. Randolfo C. Yanza (President and Founder of Organization of Data Privacy Professionals Inc.).
The Data Privacy Office of Baliuag University headed by Atty. Susan Bustos-Jacinto with the assistance of Mr. Jonathan Santiago spearheaded the seminar on Data Privacy Compliance. BU will hold more lectures and workshops on various topics of interest and relevance throughout the centennial year.
