Security Bank Foundation furthers education advocacy with portable media library donation in Western Visayas

Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI), Security Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm focused on education, bolstered its advocacy with the promotion of blended learning delivery and the donation of Knowledge Channel portable media libraries (PMLs) for its nine adopted schools in Western Visayas.

Dubbed as Gift of Knowledge, the Knowledge Channel PMLs comprise 1,500 educational videos and materials aligned with the Department of Education K to 12 curriculum. The videos can be used by the teachers as learning materials for students while they are at home or during face-to-face classes via projectors/televisions in classrooms.

Recipient schools are also beneficiaries of SBFI’s Build a School, Build a Nation Program, a holistic initiative providing schools with classrooms to augment learning needs, as well as ensuring repair support, educator training, and other learner support programs.

“We are thankful that Security Bank Foundation has a long-term and holistic approach to nation-building. We need more partners who go beyond the usual ‘hello, donate, goodbye’ and choose to take care of our schools. Security Bank Foundation’s investment will go far because it stays with the schools it adopts,” shares DepEd Region VI Director, Dr. Ramir Uytico, CESO III.

The schools that received PMLs in Region VI are A.L. Jayme Elementary School (Bacolod City, Negros Occidental), Bakhaw Integrated School (Iloilo City), Emiliano Lizares National High School (Bacolod City, Negros Occidental), Governor Emilio Gaston Memorial Elementary School (Silay City, Negros Occidental), Inzo Arnaldo Village Integrated School (Roxas City, Capiz), Kabankalan National High School (Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental), Kalibo Pilot Elementary School (Kalibo, Aklan), Pres Manuel A. Roxas Memorial School South And SPED (Roxas City, Capiz), and Victorias City National High School (Victorias City, Negros Occidental).
