The Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) proudly announces its three-year accreditation under the PhilHealth Konsulta Program. With over 4,000 registered patients, CGHMC continues its commitment to accessible and quality healthcare for all.
As the private tertiary hospital in the National Capital Region to be accredited under the Konsulta Program, CGHMC remains at the forefront of innovative healthcare solutions. The official launch event was graced by Dr. Edwin Mercado, PhilHealth President and CEO, who reaffirmed PhilHealth’s dedication to expanding access to affordable and preventive healthcare services.
A Town Hall Discussion on Universal Health Care, Konsulta, and Z Benefits was also held, featuring:

A Legacy of Accessible Healthcare
Established in 1891, CGHMC has been a trusted provider for over 134 years. Its partnership with PhilHealth, spanning more than 30 years since 1905, has played a vital role in reducing financial burdens for patients while ensuring quality ,medical services. This collaborations has strengthened CGHMC’s ability to provide preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment for various medical conditions.


Beyond Hospital Walls: Expanding Konsulta’s Reach
CGHMC is set to further enhance its Konsulta outreach through several initiatives. The hospital is expanding Konsulta services to satellite clinics, making primary healthcare more accessible in multiple locations. Plans are also underway to introduce mobile Konsulta services, bringing healthcare directly to remote and underserved communities through mobile clinics and telemedicine units.
In addition to community outreach, the Konsulta Program will support medical education. Consultation fees from Konsulta will be allocated to the hospital’s Department of Medical Education and Research, benefiting over 100 residents and felllows through academic and research fundings. This ensures he continued development of highly skilled professionals who will serve future generation.
CGHMC also plans to extend Konsulta services to private companies, integrating workplace health initiatives that promote employee wellness.
With this three-year Konsulta accreditation from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027, CGHMC remains dedicated to strengthening public health services, improving healthcare accessibility, and pioneering innovations in primary care.
How to avail the PhilHealth Konsulta Program at CGHMC
All PhilHealth members and their qualified dependents can avail of Konsulta benefits by registering using their PhilHealth ID number. Registration options include online registration, on-site registration as a walk-in patient, or by appointment at the Ground Floor, Service Pavilion, 285 Blumentritt St., Sta Cruz, Manila.
