Baliwag, Bulacan – March 2025 – Baliuag University has partnered with the Department of Education Schools Division Office (DepEd SDO) of Baliwag and the Zonta Club of Baliuag to improve digital proficiency among educators and school personnel. This collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held at the Baliuag University Main Conference Room.
The initiative aims to provide free computer literacy training for both teaching and non-teaching staff within DepEd, as well as Zonta beneficiaries, equipping them with essential digital skills to enhance their effectiveness. The training will be delivered through the College of Information Technology Education (CITE) outreach program.

Key attendees at the MOA signing included Baliuag University President Dr. Patricia Lagunda, Schools Division Superintendent Mrs. Rowena Quimbao, and Zonta Club of Baliuag President Ma. Jonnah Nubla Estrella, demonstrating a strong commitment to technological empowerment and lifelong learning in education. Their involvement, alongside BU Halina Program Director Dean Elizabeth Roxas, Program Coordinator Mrs. Lourdes Policarpio, and CITE Dean Clarissa Vicente, highlights a shared dedication to this cause.
The training will cover various topics ranging from basic digital skills to advanced tools, including MS Teams, CANVA, MS Excel, and emerging educational technologies. This agreement marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to bridge digital gaps in education and enhance competency within the local academic sector. Through this initiative, Baliuag University, DepEd SDO Baliwag, and the Zonta Club of Baliuag emphasize their dedication to promoting educational excellence and digital empowerment.
