The second edition of the World Slasher Cup 2024 is set to take place from May 21 to 27 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, home of the most prestigious cockfighting event in the world. Known as the “Olympics of Cockfighting,” this invitational 9-cock derby will once again bring together elite breeders and gamefowl warriors in a thrilling display of skill, strategy, and tradition.
The second edition follows the success of this year’s first derby, where the combined entry of J. Bacar/RCF/B. Joson/E. Brus/F. Maranan emerged as solo champion. Their entry, D’ Shipper RS-BBB RCF E’Bros-Balaraw, delivered an unblemished 9-0 win-loss record—a feat that earned them the coveted title at the historic venue on January 26.
