Security Bank received back-to-back recognition for outstanding fund management

Makati City, Philippines – Security Bank Corporation (PSE:SECB) was recognized for exceptional fund management at the Vision 2025 event, which combined the annual economic forecasting session with the 10th Annual Best Managed Fund of the Year Awards. On February 28, the Bank proudly received two prestigious awards: Best Peso Long-Term Bond Fund for the SB Peso Bond Fund and Best Peso Equity Index Fund for the SB Philippine Equity Index Fund. These accolades highlight Security Bank’s strong track record in fund management.

Vision 2025 awarded funds that delivered exceptional results and provided significant benefits and profits to investors. In its 10th edition, 170 funds from 16 investment houses were evaluated. The CFAP Fund of the Year Committee chose winners based on a thorough review of investment data. This year introduced new categories for global feeder funds, local money market funds, and thematic funds, expanding investment options for Filipino retail investors.

The SB Peso Bond Fund was recognized for its strong returns with lower risk, achieved through strategic investments in a diverse mix of Philippine Peso bonds, including government securities, corporate bonds, and time deposits, for long-term growth. This fund has won the Best Peso Long-Term Bond Fund award five times (2017, 2021, 2022, 2024, 2025).

Meanwhile, the SB Philippine Equity Index Fund, awarded Best Peso Equity Index Fund for 2024 and 2025, has consistently outperformed its peers in the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi), showcasing excellence in equity fund management and long-term growth potential.

Noel Reyes, CIO and Investment Division Head, Security Bank Trust and Asset Management Group (TAMG), said, “We’re deeply honored by this recognition from the CFA Society Philippines. The consistent wins of our SB Peso Bond Fund and SB Philippine Equity Index Fund show our dedication to excellence in fund management. This achievement reflects our team’s hard work in delivering exceptional value for our investors. We’ll continue to uphold high standards of ethics and investment excellence, ensuring that our clients’ trust in us is well-placed. Thank you to CFA Society Philippines for this honor.”
