The Private Sector Advisory Council – Jobs Sector Group (PSAC-JSG) updates President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on the private sector’s programs to help create jobs for Filipinos during the meeting held last May 18 at the Malacañang Palace.

PSAC-JSG sector lead Joey Concepcion. shared progress reports on programs for nano-entrepreneurs in agriculture and the transport sector, namely the Kapatid Angat Lahat sa Agri Program (KALAP) which aims to increase productivity and create jobs in the agriculture sector, and the establishment of a Motorcycle Micro Business Program to fast-track the development and empowerment of motorcycle nano-preneurs, create two million jobs for ‘habal-habal’ riders and provide transportation services with high safety standards. The PSAC-SJG also presented how they plan to upgrade the skills of the Filipino workforce and address jobs and skills mismatch through the creation of the Private Sector Jobs and Skills Corp., as well as proposals to address the shortage of nurses and make the Philippines the leader in the healthcare services hub.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomed the proposals, and directed the relevant government agencies to coordinate with the PSAC-JSG in order to increase collaboration between the government and the private sector.
