Globe celebrates Pride by fostering an inclusive workplace

Globe continues to build a workplace where employees can grow, contribute, and thrive. By embedding diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) into its people programs and culture, the company creates an environment where everyone feels respected, supported, and empowered to succeed. During Pride Month 2026, Globe reinforced this commitment through initiatives that promoted well-being, encouraged learning, and strengthened meaningful connections across the organization.

Under the theme “Together, We Make Space for Every Kind of Love,” Globe brought together more than 500 Ka-Globe through activities that encouraged learning, meaningful conversations, and community engagement. From employee-led initiatives to volunteer efforts and celebrations, the month highlighted how inclusion is lived across the organization every day.

Employee well-being was a key focus of the celebration. Globe hosted an HIV Awareness Webinar attended by over 200 employees, featuring expert-led discussions on HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and destigmatization that created a safe, judgment-free space for informed conversations on sexual health. The company also rolled out a DEIB Refresher eCourse completing the learning module to strengthen inclusive behaviors across the organization. Inclusive Circles likewise continued to provide employee-led spaces where Ka-Globe could share experiences, build relationships, and foster a stronger sense of community.

Employee voices also took center stage as Ka-Globe from across the country shared personal stories of authenticity, self-expression, and growth. The Pride Videocast Series further expanded these conversations by bringing together Globe leaders, LGBTQIA+ advocates, and allies to discuss workplace inclusion, transgender rights, equality, and the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels valued and respected.

Ka-Globe supported inclusive communities through the Pride Bazaar for a Cause, which featured employee-owned businesses and raised funds to support inclusive community initiatives. The celebration culminated in Pride Day, where more than 100 employees came together through keynote sessions, learning activities, and performances that celebrated individuality while strengthening connections across the organization.

Beyond the workplace, Globe demonstrated its support for the LGBTQIA+ community by joining fellow Ayala Group companies at the LoveLaban Pride March in UP Diliman and participating in the Cebu Grand Pride Parade, which gathered more than 20,000 attendees in a celebration of diversity, visibility, and inclusion.

These initiatives reflect Globe’s long-standing commitment to fostering a workplace where respect, dignity, and equal opportunity are part of the employee experience. Beyond its culture of inclusion, Globe has embedded this commitment into its people policies by becoming the first publicly listed company in the Philippines to extend full spousal and dependent benefits to same-sex legal spouses and domestic partners of its regular employees. Same-sex partners of legally married employees are eligible for all company-provided benefits, while employees with common-law partners and their children may also access benefits through Globe’s flexible benefits program. Guided by its Code of Conduct and DEIB Policy Commitment, Globe upholds zero tolerance for discrimination and continues to build a workplace where everyone can thrive and succeed.

“Belonging creates the foundation for people to grow, contribute, and thrive,” said Renato “Ato” Jiao, Globe Chief Human Resource Officer. “By fostering an environment where every employee feels respected, supported, and empowered to be their authentic selves, we enable our people to collaborate with confidence, embrace diverse perspectives, and create meaningful impact for our customers and communities.”

Globe’s commitment to its people continues to be recognized through its Great Place to Work® certification, reflecting the trust, respect, and inclusive culture experienced by employees across the organization. The recognition underscores Globe’s continuing efforts to build a workplace where people can do their best work while creating meaningful impact for customers and communities.
