Two top entries emerged victorious at the end of the second edition of this year’s World Slasher Cup 9-Cock Invitational Derby at the Smart Aranera Coliseum.
The Mulawin entry of multi-titled derby champion Frank Berin and the combined entry of Mike Romulo and Owen Medina (GITT Tonio) shared the coveted WSC title after 8-1 win-loss record at the finale of this year’s prestigious derby, dubbed as the olympic of cockfighting, on May 28.
The combined entry of Joemarie Bantillo/Nico Rodelas/Rey Arenas (Winstar & Company) bagged the runner-up honor, with 7.5 points.
Meanwhile, Rey Briones/Tony Kho, Dicky Lim/Darryl Andrew Lim, Jessie Viceo, Patrick Antonio/Bebot Uy, Biboy Enriquez, Balong/RSF, and Presley De Jesus ended the competition with 7 points each.
Conrad Siochi got 6.5 points, while Raymond Dela Cruz, Dante Eslabon/Matt Hachuella, James Rabano/Boy Jimenez, Bulldog, Pulong Duterte/JD, and JJC/Carrie Chua garnered 6 points at the end of the competition.
A total of 165 entries from top fighters from around the world participated in this year’s second edition of World Slasher Cup from May 22 to 28.
Staged since 1963, World Slasher Cup is the biggest and most prestigious international cock derby that attracts the best breeders and cockfighters from the Philippines and around the world.
